Watts Education

WATTS Education (TM) will be devoted to serving the districts and its community by assisting students in completing their high school diploma or GED.  This will be achieved by applying the Watts Best! (TM) approach, which is embracing an individualized, student-centered model that begins with student re-enrollment strategies, the support of student transition counselors, the specialized professional development of teachers working in an urban setting, and a research-based individualized academic tutoring service that incorporates student resiliency into its teaching methodology.

WATTS Education Program Overview

WATTS Education offers students, schools, parents, and community members a variety of educational opportunities to improve the academic outcome of students. We support students and schools with a range of instructional methods to assist in improving and supporting your school or programs. These programs and services assure academic, social and emotional learning, resilience building, and self-efficacy success among student, educators, and community members.

WATTS Education supports public schools, charter schools and school districts with Long-term and Short-term Suspension Programs to continue the academic learning and social/emotional support of students who would lose academic time out of their home school or classroom.

Black and Latino male students need to succeed in a global economy for the good of all citizens. This requires programs to engage and keep Black and Latino males in school. WATTS Education will offer districts Re-enrollment Outreach Services to find students that have dropped out, re-enroll them in school, and support them through the process. This strategy includes a transition counselor that supports the students 24 hours 7 days a week in their sites of resilience building including school, home, and the streets.

Watts Education Free Tutoring program offers qualifying students a computer based program that will enhance and enrich their academic performance.

WATTS Education team is also available for Speaking Engagements and Consultant Work in public schools, charter schools, districts, community functions, and any other event held to discuss the important topics of education including Dr. Watts’ research on Black males re-enrolling and completing their high school diploma or GED.
